👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 7-Day Guide • Families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We created this guide because we truly love this land and want families to experience it in a relaxed, authentic way. Every suggestion comes from real experience — easy logistics, beautiful beaches, and calm evenings designed to feel good for both kids and parents. Use it as a “holiday rhythm” (not a strict schedule).

Day 1Nearby & Easy Start

🌤️ Morning
Start with Spiaggia del Principe, one of the iconic beaches of Costa Smeralda. The parking is above the beach and the walk down takes about 10 minutes. Travel light (only essentials), wear comfortable shoes, and remember you’ll walk back up in the heat. The water is incredibly clear and the setting feels wild and natural — a perfect first “wow” moment.
🥪 Lunch
Stop at Dettori Market (Abbiadori) for easy sandwiches, fruit and drinks. This is the simplest family option before the beach (and very practical if you want to avoid sitting down with sandy kids).
🌿 Afternoon
Keep it gentle: return home for pool time + rest. After travel days, kids usually crash in the afternoon. Later, take a relaxed stroll along Cannigione harbour — flat, stroller-friendly, and easy to stop for gelato.
🌅 Evening
Dinner at Osteria del Porto (da Lorenzo) for a solid seafood night in a relaxed atmosphere. After dinner: a simple walk in Cannigione + gelato to end the day calmly.

Day 2La Maddalena Archipelago (Boat Day)

🌤️ Morning
Boat tour through the La Maddalena Archipelago. Expect turquoise water, small islands, and short swimming stops. It’s usually a smooth day on the sea, and kids love the “adventure” feeling of hopping between coves.
🥪 Lunch
Light lunch onboard. Bring extra water, fruit, and a few kid-approved snacks. A small hoodie is useful if there’s wind on the way back.
🌿 Afternoon
More swimming stops and relaxed cruising. Keep it simple: sunscreen re-apply, towel ready, and enjoy the views. This is one of those days that usually becomes a “best memory” for families.
🌅 Evening
Dinner in terrazza (or write us for more suggestions) — after a full boat day, a quiet evening is perfect. Finish with a short Cannigione walk + gelato.

Day 3Porto Pollo + La Maddalena Town

🌤️ Morning
Head to Porto Pollo for a spacious beach morning. It’s wide and open, so families can spread out comfortably. You’ll often see wind/kite surfers — it’s fun for kids to watch and gives the beach a lively vibe without being overwhelming.
🥪 Lunch
Easy lunch at Porto Pollo Beach Bar (sandwiches, salads, fruit — quick and practical with children).
🌿 Afternoon
From Palau harbour, take the ferry to La Maddalena (about 15 minutes). Once there, keep it simple: stroll the town, stop for a cold drink, and enjoy the island atmosphere without rushing.
🌅 Evening
Dinner at Pizzeria da Serafino (Cannigione) — one of the easiest family dinners of the week. After dinner: a short walk in Cannigione (kids usually sleep better after the fresh air).

Day 4Costa Smeralda (Porto Cervo + Capriccioli)

🌤️ Morning
Start with Porto Cervo for a quick coffee and marina walk. It’s a fun “glam stop” even with kids: yachts, flowers, and pretty corners for photos. Keep it short and then move on to the beach.
🥪 Lunch
Option A: beach club lunch at Natsuisa Beach Club. Option B: keep it simple with takeaway from Dettori Market (Abbiadori) to save time and avoid long waits.
🌿 Afternoon
Beach time at Spiaggia di Capriccioli. The water is stunning, but it can get busy — go earlier if you can. If it’s crowded, explore nearby coves for calmer corners and a more relaxed family swim.
🌅 Evening
Dinner in terrazza (or write us for more suggestions). End the day with a gentle walk in Cannigione + gelato — easy, stress-free, and always a win with kids.

Day 5Santa Teresa di Gallura + Baja Sardinia Dinner

🌤️ Morning
Start at Rena Bianca, famous for clear water and soft sand. Then head to Capo Testa: it’s a short “family adventure” with unique rock formations and viewpoints (kids love exploring the shapes).
🥪 Lunch
Lunch at Il Grottino (easy and popular), or choose a simple spot in town depending on timing.
🌿 Afternoon
Slow afternoon in Santa Teresa: stroll the streets, small shops, and gelato. It’s a nice break from “big beach days” and feels very local.
🌅 Evening
Dinner at Il Guscio (Baja Sardinia) — relaxed, family-friendly, and a good option if you want an easy evening out. If the kids are tired, keep the evening short and head home early.

Day 6Marinella + Porto Rotondo + San Pantaleo

🌤️ Morning
Beach at Spiaggia di Marinella — long sand and shallow water, ideal for families. It’s an easy day: less hiking, more comfortable beach time.
🥪 Lunch
Light lunch in Golfo Aranci at Ristorante La Spigola or La Tavernetta. Both are good “no stress” options when you don’t want to over-plan.
🌿 Afternoon
Visit Porto Rotondo for a marina walk and an ice-cream stop (it’s a nice change after the beach). If you have time, continue to San Pantaleo for a quick stroll in the scenic village.
🌅 Evening
Dinner in terrazza (or write us for more suggestions). Then: easy Cannigione walk + gelato — a calm, family-friendly closing to the day.

Day 7San Teodoro (On the way to Olbia Airport)

🌤️ Morning
Visit La Cinta for a classic white-sand beach day. If you want a second stop, consider Cala Brandinchi (“Little Tahiti”) for its famous colour — it’s one of the prettiest waters in the area.
🥪 Lunch
Light lunch at Bal Harbour — convenient and easy before heading toward Olbia.
🌿 Afternoon
Final swim at Lu Impostu if time allows, then pack up and drive toward Olbia. Keep towels and dry clothes accessible in the car for a smooth last-day exit.
🌅 Evening
Dinner in terrazza (or write us for more suggestions). If you’re still around Cannigione, finish with a short farewell walk + gelato.
